New Bag Design and a CONTEST!!!!!

I have a working bag in my new design. I am working on more to make to list on my etsy and artfire sites.

I see them working for many uses, to tote your projects: knitting, crochet, spinning, cross stitch, needlepoint. To use as a purse. To carry home your groceries from the store. To bring your lunch with you to work. It would hold a snack, a magazine or book and a pair of socks that you are working on. To carry your books to school or anywhere.

They are reversible. I am still deciding what I want to do for the drawstring/handles. They do not currently have a pocket, but some of them will in the future. They will come in at least 2 sizes, probably more.

But I can't come up with a name for them.

So I am having a contest. Please comment with your suggestion for the name of the bags. The person that suggests the name that I select to use will get a free bag and I will use a random number generator to choose another person to recieve a free bag.

I will choose the name in 2 weeks on or about February 22.

The tulip bag. (Makes me think of a tulip opening.)

The bluebell.

Gypsy carry all.

Mon dai nai. ("Not a problem" in Japanese.)

Stuff it. (Considering you were considering "ball bag". I figure this counts as viable. /wink)

Okey, I stop brainstorming now. Time to go to bed.

Really nice bag and I love the color of this one!

What a cute bag! It does bring oriental images to mind...which brings Chinese food to mind. :)

Perhaps "Lantern" or

"Doggies Bag" a play on your name *and* leftover containers. :)

I have to say I agree with the first post, what came to my mind instantly was The Tulip bag! It's very cute!!! plus you could play it up somehow like Two-lip since it's reversible!

I was thinking
"take out", too
or patchwork take out

savasana said...

This bag is so cute! And I love the colour combo!

The first thing that came to mind when I saw it was a Jester but I couldn't come up with anything to incorporate that into a name.

My suggestion is "Knit-To-Go Bag".

(savasana on ravelry)

Susan said...

Since it's reversible how about "the inside out bag".
Adorable bag, very quilty, and I love that it's reversible.

Great minds think alike. Jester was my first thought, too.

I would call it "ma petite cachette" which is French for "my little hiding place" since I would hide my special projects in it to take with me.

Im thinking just "violet" myself. I have a gorgeous violet teacup and saucer I was given by my nanna and thats just the right colours

dramette said...

yeah, I would agree with the chinese take out concept! I envision future models to be pictured with noodle like yarn spilling over the edges and a pair of chopstick knitting needles poking out the top!!

"Take-Out-Tote"

"Carry-Out Carry-All"

superwoman_4002 said...

maybe something like "reversitote" since its reversible... or "spring time glory tote" the colors kind of remind me of spring... and spring is just around the corner ;)

Lisa (JeepGirl) said...

I thought of the "ToteAll" bag... because it can have multiple purposes. Since it sounds the same the TotalBag would work too...

I was also thinking Transformer also because it could be for multiple uses.

Kara said...

I read your description and thought the name should be:

Anything Goes Bag

since you talked about taking almost anything with you on the go.

It is beautiful and I´m off to find your etsy shop now so I can stalk it for stockings. Especially, for one with a pocket!!!

I agree with other posters who have said that it looks like a Chinese food take-out container, so my suggestion is "Carry Away" (a play on take-out food and the purpose of a bag).

Hmm. Tough call, but a beautiful bag. I love the colors immensely.

Unfortunately, I'm not very good with names. I am a fan of the "take-out" variety that have been suggested.

The colors remind me of limes and grapes, so perhaps "A Fruitful Venture" or something.

I also like the Patchwork suggestions. Patchwork tote.

The first thing I though of was a royal crown because of the purple and the diamond pattern. I'd call it "The Queen's Carry All"

Wow! I really like those a lot. I certainly hope I win one, but I might need more than one. I like Darling Diamond Bag for the name because they are darling and the diamond shape is what makes them so cool.
